How do I choose the right size for a men's leather belt?
What are the standard widths for men's leather belts you offer?
We offer men’s leather belts in widths of 38mm (1 1/2″), 35mm (1 3/8″) and 32mm (1 1/4″). However, if you wish to have even skinnier belts, please check out our collection of women’s leather belts that have widths of 32mm, 25mm and 20mm. The leather used is the same.
What is the difference between a dress belt and a casual belt for men?
Generally, men’s dress belts are slimmer 35mm (1 3/8″) 0r 32mm (1 1/4″), have a more refined buckle (often a frame style). Casual belts on the other hand can be wider (38mm or 1 1/2″) or wider and feature a more heavy duty rugged buckle.
Should my men's leather belt always match my shoes?
We are no style gurus but in our humble opinion, it is recommended that your dress belt generally matches the color and finish of your dress shoes. For casual wear, there is more flexibility, but coordinating the color tones often creates a more cohesive look.
Will the holes on your men's belts stretch out?
Our men’s leather belts are made with 4mm (10oz) durable full grain vegetable tanned leather which helps to minimise stretching of holes over time.
Are your wide men's belts suitable for formal wear?
Generally, wider belts (38mm) are considered more casual. For formal occasions, a slim (35mm or 32mm) dress belt is typically preferred.
What is the measurement from the last hole to the tip of the belt?
On our belts we leave 12 cm from the last hole to the tip of the belt. We think this is a good length that avoids the floppy hanging belt ends yet looks proportionate even when using the last hole.
