The Everyday Tote was shaped by 72 real conversations with people who carry everything—laptops, lunch boxes, tech gear, and the rhythm of daily life. We listened, sketched, prototyped, and refined until every detail felt right. The result is a bag that doesn’t just look good. It works hard, feels great, and lasts for decades.
Its proportions are carefully balanced to suit men and women, tall and short. Whether you carry it by hand, over the shoulder, or crossbody, it fits naturally and comfortably. Every bag includes short handles, long handles, and a padded crossbody strap so you can carry it your way.
Crafted from full grain vegetable-tanned leather from Tärnsjö Garveri, the tote softens and deepens in character over time. Solid brass hardware adds a subtle gold-toned elegance while resisting rust. Inside, you’ll find smart organization with two open pockets, a generous zippered compartment, and a key clip that keeps essentials in place. The bag flips inside out for easy cleaning, and internal organisation part is secured with Chicago screws. No glue. No shortcuts. That means it’s fully repairable and backed by our no nonsense lifetime warranty.

Leather
We use leather from Tärnsjö Garveri—one of the few tanneries in the world still producing 100% vegetable-tanned leather. Their commitment to sustainability sets a strong foundation, but what truly convinced us is the beauty of their leather. It starts rich and ages with a stunning patina.

Coloring / Dyeing

Hardware
We use solid brass hardware throughout the tote—rivets, D-rings, trigger snaps, and Chicago screws. No coatings, no shortcuts. Just raw, heavy-duty brass chosen for its strength and longevity.
Brass is one of the few metals that doesn’t rust. It develops a rich patina over time, deepening in tone and character with use. That makes it the perfect companion to full grain leather, which also ages beautifully. Together, they form a bag that doesn’t just survive wear—it becomes more personal with every year.
Every screw and snap is part of a repairable design philosophy. If something wears out decades from now, it can be replaced without damaging the rest of the bag. That’s how we build for the long term.
Lining
One of the clearest requests from the people we co-created this bag with: no lining. Linings are often used to hide poor workmanship. They’re typically made from thin polyester that tears quickly—and once it breaks, repairs are complicated and costly.
We have nothing to hide. Every internal pocket and organizing detail is made from leather and secured with the same Chicago screws used for the handles. It’s durable, modular, and built to be repairable. If something wears out years from now, it can be replaced without touching the rest of the bag.
This is craftsmanship you’re meant to see.
Leather trimmings
We’ve paid attention to every detail—including the leather trimmings. The zipper pull is made from leather for a smooth, tactile grip. The crossbody D-ring holders and handle attachments use 2.5–3 mm thick dark brown leather, adding both durability and a subtle contrast that complements the bag’s design.
Zippers
YKK is the world’s largest zipper manufacturer, known for precision engineering and near-zero failure rates. Founded in Japan in 1934, YKK stands for “Yoshida Kōgyō Kabushikigaisha,” and today their zippers are used by top brands across fashion, outdoor gear, and luggage.
Two things that set YKK apart:
They make every component in-house—from the teeth to the machines that install them.
Their zippers are tested to withstand thousands of pulls without breaking or jamming.
In the Palsjö Everyday Tote, we use YKK zippers size 5 for overall closure and for the internal zipper pocket.
It’s a detail you’ll use every day, so it has to work flawlessly. The zipper pull is trimmed in leather for a smooth grip, and the zipper itself is stitched cleanly into the bag—no lining, no shortcuts. Just reliable function, built to last.
Organisation
The Everyday Tote is designed to carry what you actually need—without compromise. Inside, you’ll find two generous open pockets for quick access to your phone, wallet, or other small essentials. A built-in key holder keeps your keys exactly where you expect them, no digging required.
There’s also a spacious zippered pocket for valuables, and a large main compartment that fits a laptop, books, water bottle, lunch box—and still leaves room for a few groceries on the way home. It’s everyday function, thoughtfully built.
