The story behind the belts
Built from customer feedback. Not from a drawing board.
Two of my most popular limited edition belts sold out. The Roughout Suede Double belt and the Dark Brown Copper Buckle belt. Both made from one-off hides from Tärnsjö Garveri. Both gone faster than I expected.
People still ask about them. But what stayed with me was the feedback from customers who did get hold of those belts. Small things. Practical things.
Why can’t I use both sides properly?
Fixed rivets made that impossible. The buckle stayed fixed. So the reversible idea was always only half working.
Chicago screws fixed it.
Could I get it with the Copper buckle?
With our classy Harry buckle available in all three metals, copper, brass and stainless steel, it is a perfect choice for this belt.
Could you make the belt not as thick?
Our double belts are thick and virtually indestructible. It has its place. But sometimes you just need an easy to wear yet durable belt. These belts are slightly thicker than our single layer belts but at 5-6mm, they are thinner than our normal double belts.
How it works
Unscrew. Turn. Rebuckle.
Each belt is genuinely reversible. Not in theory. In practice, everyday.
Step 1:
Remove the two Chicago screws. The buckle comes free from the leather.
Step 2:
Flip the leather. The other side is now facing out.
Step 3:
Reattach the hardware. Screw it back. Done.
The leather
All four leathers from Tärnsjö Garveri.
Tärnsjö Garveri in Sweden has been vegetable-tanning leather since 1873. They are among the remaining 5 percent of tanneries worldwide still using traditional vegetable-tanning methods.
Most brands use Tärnsjö for their smooth leathers. These belts use Tärnsjö for all four leathers. Both full-grain interiors and both suede exteriors. That is not something most leather makers can say.
Vegetable-tanned leather doesn’t just last. It improves. The patina that develops over years of daily wear is unique to each person who wears it.
The hardware
Solid metal. Three colour options.
Our Harry buckle is made using traditional sand casting methods. These come in three colour options to suit your style: copper, brass and stainless steel.
Copper and brass will darken and pickup a nice patina over time. Stainless steel will keep the clean aesthetics over a long period of time.

We have over 250 five-star reviews from real customers across Google, our English and Swedish websites.
I received my Heirloom double leather belt a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier! The craftsmanship is remarkable, and the attention to detail is the icing on the cake. Great communication with the manufacturer also, so now you know where to order your next high quality belt 🤠
– Tore M
Recently, when I thought about purchasing a new belt, 3 dozen belt ads showed up on Facebook. Imagine that. I chose Palsjo because it was the only company that enabled me to measure a belt I owned that fit perfectly and then order that size within the closest centimeter.
– Mitch L
Incredible quality. I absolutely love this leather (smells amazing!) and the craftsmanship is really top tier. I have had several of these belts for years now, and they just get better and better with age.

Meet the maker
One workshop. One person. Every belt.
My name is Mano. I am the person who makes every Palsjö product. No production team. No factory. No warehouse. Just me and my workshop in the pine forests of Älmhult, Småland, Sweden.
When you order from Palsjö, I personally cut your leather to your exact waist size, stitch every seam and pack your order myself before it leaves the workshop. Your belt is made specifically for you after you place your order. Not pulled from a shelf. Not assembled on a production line.
This matters because you can feel the difference. Every cut is deliberate. Every stitch is checked. There is nobody else in this workshop to blame if something is wrong. That accountability is built into every single product I make.
Over 500 customers across 33 countries trust Palsjö with their everyday carry. Every one of them received something made by these hands.

Questions answered.
A few things worth knowing.
How do I know what size to order?
How long does production take?
Standard orders take 7 to 10 days because I make each belt specifically for you after you order.
Tier 2: The Complete Carry will come with priority crafting – 5-7 days
Tier 1: The Foundation belt will be crafter with regular priority – 10-12 days.
Why suede specifically for these belts?
Suede belongs to spring and summer. The texture works with lighter outfits in a way that smooth leather doesn’t. The reversible construction means you get a smooth full-grain interior for more formal occasions without needing a second belt. Four leather options from two purchases.
What is the warranty?
Every Palsjö product comes with a lifetime warranty. If the stitching or leather ever fails, I fix it. That is a direct promise from me to you. Reply to your order email and we sort it out.
